"WPG Holdings" as Asia's No. 1 Electronics Distributor, was founded on 09 November 2005. WPG Holdings through five leading semiconductor distributors in Asia (WPI group, SAC group, RichPower group, Pernas group and AIT group) serves as a franchise partner for over 200 world-wide brands, such as CSR, Hynix, Infineon, Intel, MediaTek, NXP, OmniVision, ON, Realtek, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Skyworks, TI and Vishay, etc. (In alphabetical order). With over 3800 staff in over 30 sales offices around Greater China and Asia Pacific region, WPG Holdings exceeds 2008 sales of over US$4.5 billion (AIT Group excluded) and gets a new record of Generated Recorded Operation Cash Inflow US$177 million. WPG continues to outdistance its rivals as the largest industrial distributor in Asia and perhaps more significantly, is rated the best semiconductor distributor in Asia by both customers and suppliers. The synergy of consolidation emerged from the establishment of WPG Holdings in Nov. 2005. Based on profit growth and operating asset efficiency improvement, ROE and Return on Working Capital (ROWC) has improved respectively from 3.22% and 6.57% in 2005 to 12.48% and 13.43% in the recent year. EPS grew 4.5x from NT$0.54 to NT$2.41. WPG has been elevated to rank within the top three IC component distributors worldwide.
